Hideaway Camping
Welcome to Hideaway Camping. A small family site for tents, surrounded by beautiful countryside and our friendly animals. We have 14 pitches on our large field so there is always plently of space to spread out, relax and enjoy your stay with us. Regardless of your tent size there will always be enough room between you and your neighbours so hopefully avoiding the sound of snoring in the night :-) . The only sounds will be the hooting of the owls or the early morning call from our donkeys. 3 of our pitches have electric along with the private woodland pitch which is suitable for large families.
Bluebell Woodland Pitch
Why not camp on our huge private woodland pitch. The pitch is all yours and you can bring your familly too. This pitch can accommodate up to 3 tents and has a firepit with rustic seating, a picnic bench and gazebo (weather dependant) for your sole use. This pitch has the benefit of an electricity hook up which is included in the charge.
Your neighbours
One of the things that makes us different from other sites are are friendly animals. We have Donkeys, Alpaca's, Goats, Rabbits, a Pig, Shetland Pony, Geese, Tortoises and Sheep all here for you to enjoy. So if you are an animal lover you will love Hideaway.
Our Facilities
To make your stay a little less rustic we have 3 hot showers, 3 flushing toilets, the honesty shop, fridge and freezers for you to use with our compliments. There is a handy phone charging locker, coffee/tea machine. In the center of the camping field is a play area for the little ones. During dry weather we are happy for you to park by your tent. When the weather is a little less kind we have a car park we ask you to use. Recycling bins are provided for your use.
Honesty Shop
The camping field is open from 1st April through to end of October. If the weather is kind we are happy to accommodate campers in the Bluebell Wood a little later in the year. Please ask for details.
Firepits /BBQ's are provided free of charge.. Logs, starter packs and charcoal. are all available on site to buy. Not forgetting the marshmallows which are available from the shop.
Important Information
We are a small site and do not take group bookings for Hen or Stag Parties. Familly groups are welcome. Each pitch has a maximum of one tent (not including gazebo's or pup tents), and 6 guests. We allow one car per pitch and up to 2 dogs. (we are happy to discuss the possibility of additional dogs and cars). We have a strict policy of quiet times between 10pm and 7 am. Maximum speed at all times is 5 mph. We DO NOT have facilities for cemical toilet waste emptying and do not allow chemical toilets on site.
