Hideaway Camping
Welcome to Hideaway Camping. A small family site for tents, surrounded by beautiful countryside and our friendly animals. We have 14 pitches on our large field so there is always plently of space to spread out, relax and enjoy your stay with us. Regardless of your tent size there will always be enough room between you and your neighbours so hopefully avoiding the sound of snoring in the night :-) . The only sounds will be the hooting of the owls or the early morning call from our donkeys. 3 of our pitches have electric along with the private woodland pitch which is suitable for large families.
Our Facilities
To make your stay a little less rustic we have 3 hot showers, 3 flushing toilets, 2 wash rooms, Hot water dish washing areas, the honesty shop, fridge and freezers for you to use with our compliments. There is a handy phone charging point for your use in the honesty shop along with a coffee/hot drinks machine. In the center of the camping field is a play area for the little ones, (under 10's Only). During dry weather we are happy for you to park by your tent. When the weather is a little less kind we have a car park we ask you to use. Recycling bins are provided for your use.
The Important Stuff
The camping field is open from 1st April through to end of September/begining of October. If the weather is kind we are happy to accommodate campers in the Bluebell Wood a little later in the year. Please ask for details.
Firepits are provided free of charge. Logs, starter packs and charcoal. are all available on site to buy. Not forgetting the marshmallows which are available from the shop.
We are a small family site and do not take group bookings for Hen or Stag Parties. Familly groups are welcome. Each pitch has a maximum of one tent (not including gazebo's or pup tents), and 6 guests. We allow one car per pitch and up to 2 dogs. (we are happy to discuss the possibility of additional dogs and cars). We have a strict policy of quiet times between 10pm and 7 am. Maximum speed at all times is 5 mph. We DO NOT have facilities for cemical toilet waste emptying and do not allow chemical toilets on site.
